Where do I buy SmartProgram™ service agreements?
SmartProgram™ agreements can be purchased through participating automobile dealer or authorized auto centres. For a list of participating dealers please see our Find a dealer page.

What agreement options are available?
For new vehicles SmartProgram™ offers flexible 3, 4 and 5 year agreement options to suit your needs. For vehilces with 5000KM or more we also offer a 2 year agreement option.

What if my dealership doesn’t sell SmartProgram™ agreements?
You may purchase the agreement direct from SmartProgram™ by calling Client Service Centre at (780) 423-3368. Alternatively you may purchase an agreement separate from the vehicle at any participating dealership. For a list of participating dealerships please see our Find a dealer page.

Doesn’t my New Vehicle Factory Warranty cover these types of damage?
No. SmartProgam™ is Canada’s only provider of such a thorough appearance protection service program. New vehicle factory warranties do not cover cosmetic repairs of this kind.

How many times am I allowed to use the repair services offered by SmartProgram™?
SmartProgram™ offers you all the repairs you will ever need. See your service agreement for specific service terms and conditions. This program is intended to protect your investment for the entire agreement term.

What if my vehicle already has damage when I purchase the SmartProgram™?
An inspection is done to all vehicles when a SmartProgram™ agreement is signed. Any pre-existing damage is excluded under the agreement. Although pre-existing damage is not covered under the SmartProgram™ agreement, expert repairs can be arranged by the SmartProgram™ network of technicians at your seller’s request or by customer charge.

Do I have to pay for the repairs upfront and then submit for reimbursement?
Absolutely not! SmartProgram™ is a "sign & drive" service. There is no client cash outlay at the time of service. Unlike insurance claims – there is NO deductible either.

How long will I be without my vehicle during repairs?
Hardly any time at all! Most SmartProgram™ services are completed during the time it takes to finish a cup of coffee. In some cases, however, multiple repairs and special services may require overnight service. You will be notified of such an instance at the time of booking your repair.

What if I do not want to deal with my dealership anymore due to a bad experience?
In this case please notify our client service centre so that we may find an alternate participating facility for repairs. SmartProgram™ can always assist you with gathering the required documents for your repair report (i.e. agreement no., details, etc).

Aren’t traditional bodywork costs just as much as SmartProgram™?
No. Traditional bodywork costs are very expensive and time consuming. Just one visit to a bodyshop would be over and above the cost of SmartProgram™. Check it out:

When I sell my vehicle privately can I transfer the agreement?
Agreements are fully transferable. To transfer your agreement complete and mail a transfer application form with a $50.00 fee to SmartProgram™. The transfer agreement form can be found on your original agreement.

What if my dealership isn’t a convenient location for me anymore?
Effective and convenient scheduling can occur while your vehicle is at a facility for warranty or scheduled maintenance work. Please notify our client service centre in this instance to locate a participating facility.

What if I have more than one type of damage to be repaired?
SmartProgram™ values your time & tries to accomodate multiple repairs in a single appointment. In some cases, repairs for more than one type of damage may require more than one technician and more than one appointment to perform the repair.

Do I have to notify my insurance company of these damages and repairs?
This program eliminates the need to contact your car insurance carrier of damage, saving you money on your comprehensive, collision & liability insurance premiums. However, SmartProgram™ cannot guarantee that damage will be repairable using the services that SmartProgram™ provides and, accordingly, it is strongly recommended that you maintain, at all times, a comprehensive policy of automotive insurance with coverage for damage to the Vehicle. |

Can I bring in my vehicle for multiple repairs before I sell privately or return to my leasing company?
Yes! SmartProgram™ offers you all the repairs you will ever need. See your service agreement for specific service terms and conditions. This program is intended to protect your investment and protect you against most lease penalties from your dealer when you return your vehicle. |

After I file a repair report, when will the repair be done?
A SmartProgram™ representative will call you within 3 business days guaranteed to verify the validity of the agreement, repair coverage and authorize the repair. SmartProgam will then issue an authorization code to be utilized by the program repair network only. Please contact us if you have not been in contact with you network technician within three business days. |

What if SmartProgram™ cannot repair the damages?
Some damage requires body shop repair or replacement of parts not covered by this contract. We have fulfilled our obligation under this agreement if, in the judgment of the trained technician, our best efforts have been made to repair the damage utilizing our techniques. Pre-existing damage and damage located in areas which are inaccessible are excluded under this agreement. |
